Small breeds finish growing early. Giant breeds keep adding weight well into their second year. The chart shows how much of its adult weight a typical puppy has reached by each age, for six adult-weight groups.

Typical (median) puppy in each adult-weight group. Groups IV to VI keep growing past 12 months. Their curves run on to 18 to 24 months in our data.
