Adult weight

“Pit bull” is used loosely for several breeds and mixes, including the American Staffordshire Terrier and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. This page is the American Pit Bull Terrier as the United Kennel Club (UKC) defines it. For a pit bull mix, try the closest breed here or the dog weight calculator. The American Bully is a separate, heavier-built breed. The UKC standard for it sets height only and gives no weights, so we do not have a weight chart for it.

UKC breed standard: 35-60 pounds (male), 30-50 pounds (female). The calculator uses about 48 lb for males and 40 lb for females as the typical adult weight.
